The NRI’s regularly revisit the village and help its development greatly.

In 2008, the NRI’s established the “SHAHEED BAHAGAT SINGH MEMORIAL SPORTS CLUB” and organised a Kabaddi tournament on the 6th-8th of March 2009.

The tournament was a great success, with many travelling far to participate and support the event. Many politicians attended the tournament and they praised the villagers in hosting the event as an example to young people on the values of their physical health and to discourage the use of drugs and intoxicants.

With the success of this year, the Kabaddi tournament will be held every year with the ongoing help of the NRIs and their contributions. In 2009 many NRIs and people from the village contributed to the Sports Club (For a list of benefactors see the Donators Section). The ultimate aim for the Sports Club is the construction of a stadium in the village and with consistent support and further donations it will be a reality. We appeal to all NRIs to come and participate in the yearly event.
